Privacy policy

1. Who we are

MANDATED / Mandated Property Group (“we”, “us”) is a registered estate agency regulated by the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA).

We are committed to protecting your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

3. What information we collect

When you use the “See if you qualify” form, we collect:

• your name, mobile number, email address and province;
• your answers about your current position, Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC) status and, where relevant, whether you have funds to renew it;
• optional details you choose to give, such as years in property, PPRA reference number and best time to contact you;
• any documents you choose to upload, such as an FFC certificate, ID document or CV (uploads are optional); and
• basic information about how you reached this page, such as the advertising campaign or referring website.

4. Why we collect it

We use your information only to respond to your enquiry, contact you about opportunities with us, and assess whether you may be a fit for them.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your information.

It is accessed only by authorised MPG staff involved in recruitment.

We use trusted service providers to operate this website: a website hosting provider, a secure database and private file-storage provider, and an email provider that notifies our recruitment team when you apply. They process your information only on our instructions.

We may also share it where the law requires it.

6. How we store and protect it

Your application is stored in a secure, access-controlled database, and any documents you upload are kept in private file storage. Documents are not publicly accessible; authorised recruitment staff open them through time-limited private links.

Our service providers may store or process your information on servers outside South Africa. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your information receives a level of protection comparable to POPIA, as required by section 72 of the Act.

We limit access to those who need it and take reasonable steps to protect it against loss, misuse or unauthorised access.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information for 5 years after your last contact with us, unless the law requires longer, after which we delete it.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you may object to our processing of it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time.
